And I was so happy and upbeat this morning.... I need to vent so bare with me if you read this post.... As some of you may know, I'm currently doing a six month dr. supervised diet. I write what I eat down on message pads at work then tear them off and put them in my folder I carry with me at all times and then usually around a week and a half, I'll put everything into the computer and save to disk...this is usually done at work so I don't save any of this stuff to hard-drive otherwise I'll be using it for personal use...blah blah blah. Anyways, I sat down yesterday to input the past weeks food and nutrition information and saved it to disk. Today, I cannot access it. I've tried 3 different computers and NOTHING...it just makes that noise like its trying to read the disk but absolutely nothing happens and the computer freezes up. This whole past month of what I ate, how much I ate, the nutritional information, water intake that I have to turn into my PCP on November 7th is GONE!!!! I just want to cry, scream, shout, holler, yell, stomp my feet, slam a door, throw something.. and worse of all EAT!! But I'm at work, so I can't do any of those things except eat and I have a stand full of candy that is looking awfully tempting...but I am being good and had a banana from home. I really hope this side step hasn't affected this process...and I hope my PCP won'nt be too upset.....

April, I am sorry to hear that. Keep trying to access the disk. Maybe you can at least get it off of the disk so you can save it somewhere else. Try it on your home computer. Good Luck and Stay Positive. Not to long ago, my hard drive on my work computer crashed. They were not able to recover ANYthing from it. So, I definitely know how frustrating it can be. Misty

April, that is so sad, but if you have stuck to it, it will show up on the scale for your weigh-in at your PCP's office. From now on, I would use the spreadsheet on your home computer, then you can always print out a hard copy. It's saved that way. I don't try and down load info onto a disk unless it's music, I always lose it. But by printing out a hard copy, you can take that to your Dr.'s office, and you can make yourself an extra copy to keep in a notebook. Just get you a spiral notebook from the Dollar Store, keep track of that way, then put in into the spreadsheet thru your word processor files, and print out your PCP a hard copy. Best of luck, Kathy's

Thanks Kathy, I've definitely learned my lesson. I have a couple of weeks saved but not all of it. I usually write everything down, then input it into the computer and print out a hard copy for my PCP. Thanks for the advice!! april
