all! I am doing . I am a little that my has not been given to my insurance company for approval of my surgery yet. I guess I will continue to to the nurse and call everyday until she gets back to me. I tried to be but that got me nowhere. So now I have to be a about it until I know it is submitted. Everything else is . Missy, you live in Lobelville? My grandmother lived on Cedar Creek in Linden for the past 20 years until about 2 years ago when she moved here to Nashville to be closer to us. I used to go down to that area every year for the summer and holiday to visit. It must be getting beautiful there now for fall. Well, I will to you later. Have a good day and Happy Halloween! Misty

Hey Misty, About your insurance problems....I thought that Kathy explained to you about what you would need to do about getting the process going. We call it protocall. This has to be handled in a certain way so that you'll have the best chance of getting approved The doctors office are professional at this and know exactly what their doing. Calling the nurse will only create hard feelings and you dont want this against you. Kathy knows alot about the process and she would never, ever stear you in the wrong direction. Please do this the right way Misty. We would love to see you get your approval but it has to be done right! There are some people who took it upon themselves only to get let-down because they did'nt follow the procedure. This is true!! Please think this out BEFORE acting out on your own.... We're here for you & we're on your side but to do the right thing. I hope that you don't flame me for this because I'm here to help you along with Kathy and we do care about you!! Good luck & please keep us posted so that we can give you some much needed support ML

missy, you got the info wrong on this one. Misty has her surgeon and is waiting for the office to send her paperwork to the insurance. She's doing what she should, just following up and that's good. There's no telling how long the paperwork will sit on a nurse's desk if there was a constant follow-op to make sure it was sent out. I really pray Misty gets approved. She deserves it. She asked a question today, what food will you miss after surgery? what is your answer? Mine is chocolate, anything Brock, Hersey (you know they're second best thing to sex), cordial choc. cherries. My favorite. Chocolate is an aphordiseact. I love making peanut butter cookies and place a kiss on them. HMMM.. withdrawals from chocolate, not hot chocolate, what am I going to do. I do make great fudge, and choc. chip cookies. Will I survive? Yes, because having the ability to lose weight over rules my choc. desires. Off to , Kathy's

Dear Misty, For the last two years I called Tenncare Insurance about the surgery and such. I even got an approval over the phone from them too. But the tough job was getting pcp to write and send out the referrals that was requred of him. I even called the nurses office every other week and I was lied to by the doctor's office. Sometimes the little push of calling the doctor's office every two days get's the job done. Always remain sweet and nice with them. They will enjoy that very much. I have just received my call today. Sinse last wednesday and Friday leaving calls about the referrals and the surgery. I was lefted a message on my machine that said find the doctor and my PCP will send them the referral to BlueCare. I will go today or Tomorrow to get copies of all my medical records from both my PCP and my GYNO. I just got to call today and find a doctor for the surgery. I just hope this is not another joke.. If it is I will go on and start over again.. Sometimes it is best to call.. Because the doctors have lots of clients and they need to be reminded of what needs to be sent out. It also shows that you are very serious about your surgery. I hope you have a nice day. Thanks, Tina

Misty, why is the surgeon's office delaying in sending out your files for approval? Are they that busy, or is there a reason? If every thing that the insurance and your surgeon requires has been done, then I would keep on the office every couple of days to see if they have been sent out. I think Missy had you mistaken with someone else. She sent me an email, about it, and I know she'll feel bad if she said something in your post that may have hurt you. You are doing what you are supposed to be doing, following up. If you don't who will? If you don't keep tabs about it, there's no telling how long your file would sit there waiting to be sent to the insurance. Do you have any idea, if your insurance pays for the surgery? Has the surgeon given you any idea of how long it may take? I can't wait for you to get your date. Everytime someone gets their date (ahead of me) I cry tears of joy for that person. So please keep me and the board informed. We need to be able to celebrate with you. As for what Missy wrote, after reading it, I know she wasn't talking to you, but had someone else maybe on her mind. She means well, but tonight with my need to vent about something, she may have thought I was upset with you or something. That is not the case. I can't wait until tomorrow to find out what your next question is going to be. Did I pass the missing of the food test? I know I won't miss the wooden spoon being in my bathroom when I join the losers bench. LOL, ugh. You have sweet dreams tonight when you go to , I would just like to get some sleep period. ya, Kathy

Beth, what was it like when you were a child trick or treating? I grew up in a subdivision in Michigan. My sisters and I would take our pillow cases and hit up two blocks. Dad was the constable for our township. We would come back with a half pillowcase full. Mom would separate it all into different bowls. What we didn't like she would put them into the bowl that was for the other kids. We could go back out for two more blocks and come back the same way. It was safe back then, we were allowed to eat the carmel corn balls that were made, or the apples and never thought about any danger. We didn't even lock our house much even at night. Just lock the screen door at night for a breeze. Mom would have over 400 kids every year. When I was married to my second husband we were into metal detecting, so we set up to run our machines at the radio stations and to check the candy for the children free. Metal Detectors didn't detect unless it was like a needle. That's when needles were being put into the apples, couldn't accept carmel corn balls, we would check them out for the parents and showed them what to look for in the candy. Any that looked suspesions like a hole in the wrapper was tossed, and one year this little boy was eating a piece of his candy while he waited for his to be check, the candy was laced with heron. He didn't make it to the table he died that quick. A little girl bit into an apple and we discover a two edged razor was the culprit in cutting up her mouth. Why is it so hard for children to just go out and have a fun night on halloween, why do creeps have to be cruel with the treats? I hope every one had a great and safe night tonight. I ask that parents everywhere to really check the candy, look for a small pin hole, candy that looks powdery, take them to the nearest police department and let them check the candy for you. God Bless our little ones as they are the future, Kathy
