Here's an idea to liven this board

I actually did some thinkin this afternoon. How does a get together for each major area. These are the areas I am looking at, Nashville, Memphis, Knoxville, Morristown, Chatt. and Johnson City. Between now and Thanksgiving a Saturday get together maybe for a hayride, or plan a Christmas party, Easter an egg hunt for the children of the pre-ops and post-ops. Fourth of July, a picnic, music, and fireworks. This way you get to meet new friends from the board, new ideas of eating, swap some recipes, how to make sure you are getting in your protein. Post on the board what you found out, who you got to meet, what your City did for that holiday. But we need to do something. There is no help here to help the pre-ops or info regarding the post-ops how they are doing, recipes that you have come across or ways to make sure you are getting in your protein and water. I realize that just having surgery you may not feel up to much, but why is it after you start getting a new life, you leave the rest of us hanging? Let me know what you think, and any other ideas that may come across your brains. I can't think anymore for the week, my brain shuts down at 5pm on Mondays, and the blond takes over until Monday again. No kidding. Love y'all, Kathy

I would love to do something like this but I am homebound more or less. My husband is working two jobs to help keep us afloat during the year because of my medical expenses. I cannot drive because I cannot fit behind the steering wheel of my car and my family is less than excited about me even thinking about having this surgery... So I wouldn't be able to attend physically but spiritually I would be there with you all!!! Tina

Tina, I understand about being homebound. With my being in a wheelchair, makes it harder. But I'm sure should something come of my ideas, someone can get you there. I don't know how to go about getting this started, but I can help out with the details, or make phone calls to make sure everything is arranged. I'm off to love ya, Kathy
