1yr anniversary!

Today I am one year out and I weigh 144 lbs. I was 279 preop. I have lost 18 lbs before surgery and 127 after surgery. I went for plastic surgeon consultation two days ago for my breast, tummy, arms and thighs. They would do the breast and tummy first if Tenncare approves. I will see in about a month. I am so gratefull for Dr. Hruska, I did get to see her before she left and I got to give her a hug for all she done for me. Lisa 279/144/145

Hi Lisa, wow, one year. It doesn't seem like it's been that long, but then I have been on this board over a year. I'm at 276 lbs and hoping to get down to 130, should I ever get to have this surgery. I see Dr. Colquitt next week, and I pray he will take me as a patient. I am so proud of you. I remember you worrying about the losing weight prior to surgery. You were worried you wouldn't lose what you had to lose during that 3 months. See I pay attention. But you did it, and more. That class you are taking has really paid off for you. Remember you still have another 6 months for your weight to stabilize. You will most likely lose more during that time. Keep in touch. Love ya, Kathy
