Yesterday
was my 11month anniversary. I had to go into the hospital last week for pain management relating to the discs in my neck and my surgery in June. My addmission weight was 220lbs, which is 163lbs from my heighest weight last summer bfore my WLS and 143lbs loss from my weight the day before my WLS. I'm hoping like heck to be at 199 or less by my one year anniversary. I haven't been below 200lbs since I was in grade school.
I still am fighting being extremely self-conscious about all the hanging skin, but I look pretty darn good dressed. I had bought a deep rose coloured suede skirt last spring from Lane Bryant, which was a size 16, but an extremely small 16, and I recently got into it. Talk about being psyched up. I need to try and fit more exercise in and try to choke down the proten but I haven't felt like exercising since my neck surgery in June.
How are you all doing? Kathy, how is the treatments coming, love? Sorry I'm not here much but life so gets in the way at times.
Peace and love to you all.
Kelly
Hi Kelly, I don't get treatments, I take a pill half in the morning, half at bedtime for the rest of my life until death we do part. Only side affect is queasiness and a mild headache. I can live with that. My hair has really thinned out. Mom is sending me a wig from the Dolly Parton collection. I saw a new Oncologist today and really like her a lot vs the male I was seeing. I will see her once a month with lab work. Every 3-4 months she will have to do a hip marrow biopsy to see if I'm in remission. Sorry to hear about the neck surgery, but sweetie, in the 11 months you have still come a long way. Just tell people that you have hidden muscles in those arm wings. Let us know how you are doing with the pain management. Mine is sending me to a Neurologist for my tail bone pain. I will see this one on Thursday in Knoxville at Park West. They can remove it for all I care. That's the only pain I have. Trying to find one of those cushions that have a section cut out so that I'm not putting any pressure on the tail bone. Especially since I have to sit a lot, and ride in transportation vans, my road bumps really kills me.
Peggy Allen had her surgery a year ago. In July she had her stomach done, today she had her breasts done. I need to call her and see how she's doing.
Love ya, I'm still hanging in there. Kathy
