Dr. Woodman did my lap band surgery on March 11. I could not be happier. (Read my surgical experience on my profile.) He really is considered one of the best in the nation. He has done over 1000 procedures and has never had a severe complication. His office staff is really helpful and willing to help you with any questions or problems that you have. We have monthly support group meetings where we can share our experiences,address any concern, and offer helpful suggestions. Various professionals host the meetings. Some of these are Dr. Amos-(Psychiatrist), physical therapist, nutritionist, etc. (Before my time, they even had a healthy food program whi*****luded samples of recipes to taste.
Dr. Woodman is rather strick and expects us to follow the lap-band rules. Some are sort of intimidated by him, but I have found that he only wants us to be successful and feels that we can only do this by following the program. I am happy to have found a surgeon who cares enough to be involved with my entire weight loss process and whose interest ends when I leave the operating room.
My feeling is that if you are truly committed to losing weight and are willing to work with him and let him work with you, you will be very happy with Dr. Woodman and his staff. Cyndi and Kelly are always available to help you if you need them.
