Hi Tennessee!!! Katrina evacuee needs job.

Hi ya'll! I am from Louisiana and am displaced in Forrest City AR. Memphis is the nearest large city to here. I am looking for a job and was wondering if anyone had any ideas for the Memphis area or if possibly their job may be hiring. I would really appreciative any help possible, as it looks like I will have to relocate my family. Thank you and God bless.

Hi Kelli I am sorry for you and your family having to relocate. I noticed you had your surgery recently. There are great Dr.'s in Memphis for follow-up care. As for jobs, can't help you out there, haven't worked since 1998. There's only 3 things I know about Memphis, Elvis's home Graceland, the BB King jazz club, and the Butcher Shop. The Butcher shop has the best steaks to eat. When I was there in 95, it was $13 if you cooked your steak, and $15 if they did it, the piece was so thick that when I cut it, I had to then cut that piece in three parts just to eat it. It's on the river and 2 blocks from the Jazz Club. I wish you and your family the best in your relocation and that when starting your lives over that God is there for you. Always, Kathy

I can't eat steak till Dec but I will keep that in mind cuz I love steak. Thanks anyway Kathy. And yes, I was worried about care after my surgery. Jonesboro gave me the name of a doctor, but Memphis is closer. I am due soon for my 3 mos check up.

I'm glad that you ok. You can go to aol and do a job search for the area. I live in Tn myself about 3 1/2 hrs from there I have traveld there alot and have several friends there. What kind of job are you looking for? I wish you the best of luck if I can be any of any help please contact me. Glad you and your family are safe.

Thanks Beth. I have been a bill collector for about 13 years, before that I was in management/sales. So I also have background in payroll, inventory etc. I appreciate you looking into that.
