8 Days until surgery!

Wow, I can hardly believe that the time is here. Did any of you post -ops feel a strange calm come over you? I just know that all is in the Lords hands. I would be interested in knowing how you all felt. Anndee

Hi, Thats exactly what I went thru...I went into surgery with the most positive feeling I have ever had in my Life....and I came out the same way !! Stay focused on what you know is the right thing for you and you will have great results !! I am 58 yrs old and I feel better than I have in years.... All the best to you!! Billie

Hi Anndee, I felt that calm feeling come over me when I had to have thyroid surgery. I was terrified as the surgeon would have to cut my neck real close to the left juggler vein. Then all of a sudden I knew I would be okay. It was a strange calmness, and I came thru the surgery with no problems and was totally healed within a month. I'm glad you have experienced this calmness. May God travel with you on your new journey. Kathy

I KNOW THAT YOU MUST BE SO EXCITED TO BE NEARING YOUR SURGERY DAY. IF YOU FIND THE TIME, I WOULD SO APPRECIATE ANY INFORMATION THAT YOU COULD GIVE ME ABOUT THE DAYS LEADING UP TO SURGERY. I HAVE BEEN TURNED DOWN BY MY INSURANCE,,BCBS OF TN. THIS WAS BECAUSE OF A WRITTEN EXCLUSION CLAUSE IN MY POLICY. NEEDLESS TO SAY,, I WAS DEVASTATED. MY HUSBAND AND I ARE GOING TO MORTGAGE OUR HOME SO THAT I CAN GET THE SURGERY. I KNOW EVERY DOCTOR AND HOSPITAL HAVE DIFFERENT FEES, BUT COULD U GIVE ME A ROUGH ESTIMATE AS TO WHAT TO EXPECT IN THE COST? I AM A DIABETIC,, 100 LBS + OVERWEIGHT,, HAVE HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE ALSO. AGAIN IF YOU FIND THE TIME COULD YOU EMAIL ME WITH ANY INFORMATION CONCERNING THE FEES AND PROCEDURES? THANK YOU!!

I also know this feeling my surgery is Friday I am going to Tijuana, Mx. My family is not very happy about this. But myinsurance will not pay it either. I and my sister are going into this together. I ask for prayers from all and I know that God will lead you in the correct direction. The cost is $8000. for flight and surgery.

i was very calm......and just like you said....all is in the Lords hands. thats' it in a nutshell! trust in the Lord with all you heart and all your soul!!!!! you are going to do great~ and then just hang on for a wild ride of your life! it's been super! hugs, piper
