Tennessee is about to lose a wonderful surgeon.....

Well for reasons unknown to me my surgeon Dr.Lindy Hruska is moving her practice out of state as of September 6, 2005 She is an absolutely wonderful surgeon. When other surgeons had flat out told me no or told me I needed to lose 70+ lbs before they would do RNY she told me yes. If it weren't for this wonderful surgeon and her awesome office staff I would not be living the better life I have now. She has not only been a godsend to me but to everyone that has had her as their surgeon. Unfortunately its time for her to fly on to be a godsend to others not close to here. I am hoping I get to see her before her last day so I can tell her in person how grateful I am that she was willing to take a chance on me. Its very unfortunate that Tennessee will no longer have her on their list of surgeons. *huggles*

yes she is a wonderful surgeon and I had an appointment with her on September 8th. I guess that is out. I would not be where I am today if it had not been for her. I am so grateful to her. I hope I get to tell her how great she is before then. I am at goal now but I am setting a new goal of 145. Lisa 279/150/150........new goal#145

Her last day for seeing patients will be Sept 1, 2005. I am hoping to atleast be able to drive up there and give her and her staff something even if Im not able to see her. Im sure she knows how much of an impact she has made on her patients lives but I still want the chance to thank her personally.

I do too and I got my appointment rescheduled for Sept 1st with her at 10:30am. I am glad I got to reschedule. She has definately made an impact. Lisa 279/149/145

Hi Dixie, I am sorry to hear this. From everyone that has had their surgery thru her, she will be missed. I see Dr. Colquitt again on the 17th of August. I am still pursuing the surgery. Have already registered with him, and have all my records to take with me. Should he say yes, are you still going to be my angel? Let me know, so I will know how to contact you. I am now looking for a new surgeon, I have some how lucked and kept my Tenn care, and I now have to pay a co-pay which is good since I am still over 100lbs over weight and No insurance company will except me. But I now have the challenge of finding a new dr. to do my fills for me, I think I am just going to follow Dr. Hruska, I love her so much, she is such a wonderful doctor. Like you, I owe a lot to her, she has helped to give me back my life. . If anyone knows of a dr. that takes tenn care it would be greatly appericated. Thanks a ton Misty

I got that letter the other day too. Such sad news to hear her go but in many ways I can understand why. I'm sure taking all the TennCare patients didn't help her much. Wherever she goes - I wish her the best of luck. I'm hoping to send her a 'Thank you' package. I just hope it gets there before she leaves. But I wonder where she's going -- Is she going back to Iowa? I'm pretty sure that is where she's from, if I remember correctly. -Katie
