Surgery Date in 3 Days July 25 8am Please Pray for me! I am a 43 year old grandmother of 2 and starting my journey in weight loss. Dr Rutledge is a God send. I am so ready for a life style change! My surgery is on monday morning and I cant wait! My sister had the surgery in ATLANTA almost a month ago and is doing very well! I have been stuck in this wheelchair unable to do things for myself long enough! I really dont think reality has set in that this is really happening! Or for some reason I am unusaully calm about the whole thing. I dont know which. Well I will keep you up to date! Deb

Deborah, Good luck! So happy to hear you are ready for this. Be warned the first month can be rough, but after that, YAY!! Just remember to drink all your water every day, don't get on the scales if you think 4 lbs loss per month is "too slow" (no, 4 lbs a month isn't 'normal', but there can be months like that and you need to stay focused and not get discouraged!), and protein FIRST FOREVER. Hi Deborah, that's great that you will be a loser soon. I still dream of having it. I'm a 51 yr young grams of 2 and in a power wheelchair. I too look forward to getting out of this chair. Where will you be having your surgery? May God travel with you on your journey. Stay positive and stick to your nutrionist's food guide. That will help you lose the weight. Always, Kathy

Deb, Best of luck to you, you will be in thoughts and prayers Monday. If you are calm about it then that just means you are so ready for the change, and trust me it is a total lifestyle change. You will feel so much better and regain your mobility and freedom. Do have someone post to the board to tell us how surgery went for you and how you are doing until you are able to post again yourself. Greg
