I had my PreOp appointment with my Dr. yesterday and he said that I do have gallstones and I had to him about an attack I had this last weekend. I have been thinking all this time that it was bad gas or something I ate but could possibly be gallbladder attacks, anyways he said if he goes in and finds that the gallbladder is infected that he will just remove it and not do the RNY yet. I will take antibiotics then go back in a few weeks and have the RNY. He said you do not want to cut on another part in your stomach when a part is infected because the infection can spread. This makes me feel good and confindant in him as a Dr. and him taking care of me. I am just really praying that it is not infected though and everything call all be done at one time, because I can not afford to miss more work. Please I need prayers out there from everyone. Thanks, Tara SlimSoon

Tara, I am sorry to hear this. I hope he goes in and finds no infection so you can get both done at one time. But, you know what they say -- whatever shall be shall be, right? Let's just jope what is meant to be is what is going to be easiest for you! At least you know going into this that there might be a delay, that helps. Good luck to you!! (And I agree, I love a doctor that is more cautious than less!) --joanna 325/249/125 (someday, I hope!!)

Hi Tara, I am so sorry to hear about the gallbladder. I pray it's not infected, just stones. But just remember this, better safe then sorry. Trust your Dr., he will do what he feels is best for you. You are in my thoughts and prayers. May God travel with you on your journey. Kathy
