hi janella try little nibbles of a snack that your surgeon has recommened. i found that i "snacked" once or twice between meals because it helped the mind and the tummy. whether it is just a sip or two of a protein drink or maybe a little bite of jello. it will get better. piper

I PROMISE it gets better. The first 2 weeks were the worst. I had head-hunger all the time, but I tried my best not to give in to it. When I felt like my head wanted something to eat, but I wasn't hungry, I would drink water. It helped a lot. I wanted to cry so badly, but I didnt want anyone to say "see I told you this was a mistake". I hope that makes sense. Have faith...it gets better! *hugs* Ashleigh 251/225/140

Hi Janella, if your stomach isn't growling, then it's head hunger and it too will pass. You should be able to start eating blended foods real soon. That head hunger is the psychological part hence why we went thru a psych. It will pass once you are able to have blended, then soft foods. Be patient, sweetie, anyone who's had the surgery, has been where you are at now. You can do this, you've already made a major decision by just having the surgery, I know you can get pasted this too. Every day is a life challenge. Love Kathy
