Hey Janella, I am not having the gas problem from that end. The Dr. wanted me to pass gas but I couldn't . They gave me a suppository to assist and that help yesterday, but today I still feel kinda bloated. I can feel and hear sounds in my tummy but that's it. I burp a lot (which is sometimes painful)but that's it. I was a bit nauseated in the hospital but I did not get sick. As far as meds I have Prescription strength Pepcid X 2 per day, Phenergan (just in case ) and Liquid Lortab. I sent you an email. Chat with you later. Lisa

Hi Janella! Glad u are home and doing well after surgery! Was worried about u! I was wondering how bad the pain was after u woke up in the hospital and how is the pain now? Is it really bad or does the pain meds they give u keep it pretty tolerable and maneagable? Well, take care and keep us posted. Tammy

Hi Janella, for the sbd's, silent but deadly's go to a pharmacy or health food store and get some charcoal. Not the kind that goes in the grill, but the kind you drink. I became so depressed when I found my fiance of one day dead, that I took too many pills. I was given this charcoal to force what I took to pass thru the bowels. Nothing came up when I was forced to throw up, several have said this helped with the sbd's. Don't take it if you are going out, it will make your mouth and teeth black for a few days. Try some otc prilosec, pepsid, rolaids, tums. Those may also help. Here's another one, Gas X. Let us know for our future knowledge what you did to get rid of the sbd's. Silent but deadly. Glad you're home, Kathy

This may sound crazy, but I wouldn't try charcoal without your doctor's ok. I had the same problem post-op, and believe me, it will eventually stop. I don't take ANYTHING post-op without consulting my surgeon. That's what we pay them for! take care! Ashleigh 251/227/140
