TennCare

I am so sorry to hear about the people on TNCare situation. I am in the same boat with all of you. I fear every day of getting that letter. I have my consult next Friday and I am sooo afraid of getting denied for whatever reason! I have tried so hard with research, meetings, paperwork etc. I have been trying since 2000 and have run into problems all the way. All I want to do is feel better and be able to do things I used to do, to me it's a chance for a new start for a healthier, longer life. Prayers are welcome!!

I know losing TennCare for a lot of folks is pretty scary. I work with a lot of patients who are on TennCare. I can't swear to this however, I think the cut off is not July 6. You have to "reply" by then. I think they are looking to start ending it around August. Maybe that will give you enough time. Also, make sure you get your application and appeal in ASAP. I think if you do it within 10 days, they have keep you on while you hear from your appeal. It may buy you some time. Mail all apps and appeals return receipt so you have prove they received your paperwork. TennCare is notorious for saying they didn't get it!!! Good Luck. Kay
