TN WLS Law?!?!?

Hello friends, I have been checking the TN State Legislature page everyday to see if they have passed that WLS bill that would require insurance companies to have to offer WLS as a treatment for morbid obesity. It doesn't look like they have made anymore progress with it since 3/1/05. What is up with that?!?!? I am getting discouraged because May is almost over. Didn't somebody say that the Senate and House representatives were only in session until the end of this month? The bill, if passed, is supposed to take effect 1/1/06. That's what I am hoping and praying for since my insurance has an exclusion to WLS. If anyone has info about this please, please, please let me know. Thanks, Tammy

TAMMY IF YOU REALLY WANT ACTION CONTACT YOUR LEGISLATIVE REPS . THEY DO READ THEIR E-MAILS THEY ALSO PROBABLY HAVE LOCAL OFFICES IN YOUR AREA.. CALL THEM AND LET THEM KNOW THAT YOU ARE IN FAVOR OF THIS BILL AND WANT TO SEE IT PASS. YOU CAN PROBABLY FIND OUT ANYINFO ON YOUR REPS AT WWW TENNESSEE.GOV

Tammy..Please contact your Legislators!! Call ...write..email..whatever..It worked for me as far as getting my insurance to FINALLY give me an approval! Get them to call/write, etc..for you!! Good Luck! Kathy W.
