Just saying hi
I'm still here just busy, busy.
At Curves today, I weighed 258lbs, which is 125lbs from my heighest weight last summer and 105lbs from the weight the day before surgery. It's still hard to find a variety of foods but I am stll trying.
I went yesterday and finally got my celebratory 100lbs lost tattoo; it's a shamrock made of celtic knotwork in varying shades of green and located on the top of my right foot.
I need to update my pic again but I'm seriously camera shy. However, my oldest child graduates from high school this Friday night, so maybe we'll get a family type shot done.
I don't see my surgeon again until October 7th, which will be a little under one year post-op for me. My hopes is he will release me to get pregnant so the hubby and I can do another in vitro fertilization cycle. I didn't say much last year about my reason for weight loss surgery, but we had a failed IVF cycle the summer before and my fertility doctor told me I had to be under a certain BMI before he'd let me do another cycle. So I'm hoping this time next year to be big and pregnant.
Congrats to those of you who have a surgery date and hang in there if you don't have one, it will happen. I was thinking back last night to this time last year when I was so so so impatient to get approval and my date. Here it is almost 7 mos after my surgery and the time I spent fighting seems small now.
Well, I am off to finish cooking supper.
Love to you all, Kelly
Hi Kelly, go****'s great hearing from you. Sounds like you're off to a great start. You know you're in my prayers and thoughts. I have a silly question, why start all over with a new baby when one is graduating? I would think you would want a relief, and just wait until the grandbabies are around. LOL, told you it was silly. I wish you joy in having your dream of having another baby come true. Love ya, Kathy
Kelly-
You are doing wonderfully!!! I too had the surgery in the hopes I will be able to get preggie. I am so excited for you and hope to have another update soon on your status. I can't wait for your October appointment. That will be my 6 month checkup so we can compare notes then.
