Yipppeeeeee, I'm approved!

Hi everyone! Well after fighting with my insurance for 3 months I am FINALLY APPROVED, YIPPPEEEEEE! I called my surgeon office to be put back on surgery schedule, I hope to get me date sometime tomorrow. I excited to finally be moving forward. It was so frustrating fighting for something that is so beneficial and a way to get healtheir. I've got alot of research I am willing to share as well as a signed letter from the FDA stating that Lap-Band is not long "experiemental or investigational". So hopefully I get to put my surgery date on my next posting. Good luck to everyone still fighting for the surgery they want. Keep fighting...YOU are worth it! Congrads Shelley, You are worth it. I wish everyone was able to just bypass the insurance with no hassles. That they could just go to the surgeon, and know that they are covered without the denials. I have medicare and don't need prior approval. I would like everyone to be able to just have that part also with no prior approvals. More would be able to get the surgery and have a better life. Just think how much they woulld save their insurance companies of all the future medical costs, prescriptions, hospitalizations. The companies should automatically cover this major expense and they would save in the long runl. I am happy for you, keep us posted. Always, Kathy
