Mental Evaluation
That's where I went. They have some very nice people there. They do the MMPI assessment as well as a consult, so be prepared to spend an hour or more there. They also send the report directly to your doctor if you ask them to and I believe you can request that they also send you a copy. The reason I chose them is that my insurance at the time paid for them, surprisingly. Good luck and just be honest -- remember, this part of the process is to HELP you, not hinder you. The main things they are looking for are: stability -- if you are mentally ill, are you getting help? Intelligence -- you don't have to be Einstein, but can you understand what is going to happen to you? Eating disorders -- if you have had them in the past, it makes you a higher risk patient, but if you have sought help and/or are seeking help currently for them, that is good.
