Life Insurance before or after??

Hi All! Have any of you ever thought about getting life insurance before your surgery just in case something happens?? I'm worried because ya never know and I have two kids & a husband. How about after your surgery? Can I still get life insurance after I have my surgery? I was just wondering about what y'all thought or have ever thought this too. THANKS EVERYBODY Missy Lea
