Help, I need Dr.s
Hi all, I will be moving from this area to the Nashville, Portland area. I will need to find all new Dr.'s. If you have any suggestions, please let me know. That's the hard part of moving, changing Dr.'s. Although I will be living in Portland, TN which is one hour north of Nashville, I am trying to find Dr's, in the Sumner County area. Since I am now home bound I don't relish having to go to Nashville for any appointments. So I am going to try and find Dr.'s in Portland, Madison, Gallatin, or Hendersonville. If you can help me, I would sure appreciate it. Thanks everyone, love Kathy
I live in Sumner County- I do not have a Dr. in Hendersonville because he was clowny and I could not see eye to eye with him. I do have an OB/GYN who is fabulous and a Dermatologist and a Dentist who I could recommend to you. As far as a PCP- e-mail me when you think you have found one. I know a few to avoid but do not want to post their names here.
There is a support group for WLS patients at the Hendersonville Hospital on the second or third Saturday of the month- might help you meet people and I also am a member of an Exercise group called Jazzercise that meets in the morning and at the evenings depending on your schedule.
e-mail me if you have any questions.

hi Kathy, there are not any bari docs in Sumner County that I know of, but I can tell you a few good PCPs. I use Dr. Steven Bennett in Gallatin. He is an angel (and really young, so he CARES about his patients). His practice is located at Sumner Regional, so most bloodwork/testing can be done right there. I would pay out of pocket if I had to to keep him as my PCP -- he is that wonderful. I am his 4th or 5th WLS patient, so he has some experience with us and our specific problems. There is a doctor in Portland that I have heard is a wonderful doc, too. His name is Ralph Ruckles. He is my mother-in-law's doctor and she adores him -- that could be good or bad, knowing my m-i-l!
Hope this helps!
