I finally got the courage...

I finally got the courage to have the lap band surgery,but my insurance has cancelled and I am on Tenn Care.From what i'm hearing,it may be impossible for me to get the surgery with TennCare insurance.I live in Chattanooga.If anyone knows different please let me know.Thank you.

Hey Karen, I live in Kingsport Tn. and just had the RNY procedure on March 29th. TennCare approved me in two days. I don't know about the Lap Band, but I do know that they are still approving the RNY. Call TennCare and ask for a case manager. They will help you. God bless you on your journey. Bill Wampler

If you get a job with Parkridge, Eastridge, Valley Hospital, you will be covered within 2 months. They carry Cigna insurance *****quires 6 months of doc visits a nutrition consultation and psych eval. I am only guessing that you all ready have all the work ups done. Call Dr. Rutledge office for more info. But get a job within the Parkridge system and you WILL be able to have your surgery.
