Has anyone ever had or have.....

Hi I am wondering if anyone ever had or has Cellulitis? I started having this very painful burning in my left thigh radiating from the knee to the groin. It hit me on Saturday evening. Sunday I had the chills so bad, that I couldn't get warm. By Monday I had to call an ambulance. My white blood cells were up to 28,000, normal range is 4000-10,000. I was admitted to Morristown-Hamblien hospital. For two days I laid in beding crying because the pain shots weren't strong enough to make it go away. I can't walk, painful to sit, to lay down, to walk. I was checked for blood clots on Monday during seven hours in the ER. I was so glad when my wheelchair came to visit me. Then I was able to get around better. I have to have home health care for a while as I am supposed to keep it propped up on pillows until it goes away. My Dr. ordered Percocet and Cipro for me to take when I got home. I wish he had looked at my allergy chart. I am allergic to Percocet. It also plainly says to not take if allergic to condeine. I am also allergic to that. I had some 10/650 Hydrocondones, took one and a half of that and had no pain, and was able to sleep. There are days that Dr.'s scare me when they don't pay attention to my allergy sheet. I am registered with Medic Alert. I was also told that I would get it again because of my diabeties. With my white cells so high, it lowers my immune system. If any of you have had this, what helped you get rid of it? According to wedmd to prevent it from coming back, I would have to have antibiotics every other week. Please let me know what you did. Love Kathy

Kathy, Never had the problem but just wanted to support you and wish you well. I don't have a lot of confidence in MH. I always go to Lakeway. Who was your dr? I hope that you are feeling better now and that things go smoothly for you from here on out. Rest and feel better.
