Anyone from Clarksville?

I am in the process of getting all the tests and studies completed so the Dr can submit my info for approval. I am hoping to find someone in my area who is going thru the motions at the same time I am (looking for support nearby). How is your process going? Is there anything you are not prepared for? Also, I have Tricare and I am seeing Dr. Steely at Gateway.

Ok, Im new at this, and scared to death, but I know it has to be done, I see you had yours done with Dr Steely, what type of surgery? Im lookins into just the Lap-Band, with Dr. Steely or Dr Hruska? Can you tell me anything about either one of them? Thanks Carol

Hiya Renee! I don't live in Clarksville -- But I did have my surgery at Gateway. My doctor was Dr. Lindy Hruska! It's a great hospital, wonderful staff, and fantastic doctors office! I'm sad to say, Dr. Hruska no longer works in Tennessee. The last I heard, she moved her pratice to St. Louis. Lucky city. Good luck with your search, Carol. Hugs~ Katie

Hi Renee, I am just starting my process with Dr. Steely and my first appointment is at the end of April. It would have been earlier but there was a mix up with tricare. They gave me the wrong referral so I have to get another referral but the Blanchfield manager scheduled my appointment while I was in her office. Where are all of your testing being done? I have been trying to have this surgery for a year, but it was delayed because of having to PCS. I almost gave up but decided to try one more time.
