I made it through!!!

My open DS was done 3/17/05. I made it through with flying colors. I was in the hospital a total of 4 days (if my blood sugars had been better, I might have gotten out in 3). I am in major ketosis now as I am still on pureed food until this Thursday when I go back for my 2 week follow up. Will be sooo grateful to get these darned staples out. LOL ]]]]]]] (28 of them). Having the hardest time trying to find puree food that I can get down. Using Low-fat, sugar-free yogurt alot though. I transition to soft foods on Thursday for 2 weeks, I think I will be able to manage this better. I managed to gain 12 pounds while I was in the Hospital due to all the fluids they gave me. I have lost the water weight now and working on the fat loss now. I wanted to thank everyone who sent their email well wishes and prayers. Every little bit helps. The staff at Baptist in Nashville was Wonderful but I was also not much of a bother to the staff, I had someone stay with me in the room and didn't have to ask for much. Thanks also to Dr. Spaw. Im not worthy, but I am grateful!
