Liquid Protein Drops
Hi Katie girl,
I really don't know..I mentioned it to the nurse yesterday at my appt, and she didn't say anything..other than stressed to me how important the protein is. Doctor was out on emergency surgery, but when I see him next I will show him the bottle and ask him.
However, I purchased this from a lady who has had the RNY and I can not imagine they would sell anything unsafe. I do not take all of it at one sitting.. I spread it out throughout my day. I can't see the harm in it.. it is all natural..extracted from beef. I will be sure to let everyone know what doc says when I see him next tho.
Thanks for your concern! hugs!

Ick! I hated that stage! Then again, what I'd do to go back to that stage -- Of never being hungery! LOL!
However, I recently went back to drinking protein shakes... My friend Tony, that just happens to be at goal - suggested the...
GNC, Cookies N Cream... 150 calories/25 grams of protein! Oh my gosh! It's by far, one my favorite shakes! You can mix it with water or milk, I perfer the milk though which adds about 9 more grams of protein.
I also like the chocolate carmal... but the Cookies N Cream is my favorite!

I think I am one of the rare few then, I feel hungry quite often, atleast I did the whole first week.. this second week has been a little better. My biggest thing was learning to space the drinking from the meals.. but then again the meals ARE liquids lol. mostly anyways.
I will try your shake in the near future..just hate to waste money on another jug of powder if it is the same thing as everything else I tried.. I have 5lbs of chocolate ice cream flavor I can't stand..$30 wasted!

Ick! That's why I've always been afraid to buy those big containers of protein! At GNC, you can ask them for there sample container, and it's only about $9.95, which isn't bad at all compared to the others! I promise, it's even good! LOL!
Still feeling hungery? WOW! Which surgery did you have? Maybe it's just head hunger? I know I had to deal with that often, still do...
Oh... I've never heard of the Chocolate Ice cream flavor, who makes it?
-Katie
I had Rny..lap..distal..and I am sure most of it is head hunger..it is getting some better than it was in the beginning. In fact last night I am pretty confident I had my first real dumping episode when I took some liquid benadryl for a headache. SO I am still trying to read the signs my body is giving me .
The chocolate is SCI FIT econo whey protein.
I had some protein shake at the hospital that tasted like vanilla cookies.. I could handle that one but I was so out of it I didn't think to read the label and see where to get that brand..duh lol.
anywhoo.. will get thru this one way or another

The GNC store here will let you buy any size and if you dont like it you can return it for a full refund. believe me I know as I have returned everyone of them. I hve fod I can tolerate only the bananana creame proplete gold from bariatric eating. mixed with 1 % milk it is tolerable but I still hate it and only drink one shake a day in the morning.
have any of you tried the new splenda popsicles from Sams and walmart? they are great, no calories and no fat, no carbs nothing. they are there only on a trial basis so make sure you tell the store manager to keep stocking them or they will be disocnitnued if no one buys them.
Also here in krogers they have the new splenda break and bake cookies in the dairy asile. they are very good if you limit yourself to just one a day. I never thought I would be able to limit myself to just one of anything but one of them seems to be fine for me and is a nice change for a snack. I think one cookie has 70 calories which is why you need to limit it to just one.
Bariatric eating .com has a newprotein mix out as well as new brownie and peanut butter cookie mix all sugar free , I have ordered them and will give you the run down when they arrive and I can make them.
hope everyone is doing well, I am sort of stuck at 90 pounds lost but not really complaining as I know I am ther because I dont get enough exercise, and no one is to blame for that mut myself. recently though I have begun eating mainly cacktail shrip with ****tail sauce for dinner or sometimes for lunch, its a good source of a lot of protein and very little in the calorie area. though I am sure my cholestorol is shooting through the roof. will no more after next months blood work. keep up the good work all.
