WAY OT: Honky-Tonkin'
Ok, Tennessee folks..........
I absolutely LOVE country music...I love the old stuff, I love the new stuff, I love the legends, I love the outlaws, I love the ballads, I love the sad songs, drinkin' songs, cheatin' songs.....etc. I love the atmosphere of Nashville and especially the old honky tonkin atmosphere along lower Broadway!
However.................NOBODY....wants to go with me! NOBODY loves it like I do! NOBODY understands why I just HAVE to go see the Ryman Auditorium everytime I go to Nashville......
So.............I need some new folks to hang out with and go "honky-tonkin" with! Any takers? Now, just for the record.......I don't drink! I don't dance! ok, i flirt a little...........LOL
But I still like to go...and walk up and down the sidewalks...and listen to the music!
Any takers?

Hi Kandy, I agree about Nashville. It's like a vacation every weekend. My younger son graduated at the Grand Ole Opry. That was so special vs. a Civic Center. I love going to Nashville, my old son and family live in Nashville. My younger one and his family live one north on the KY boarder. When I am in the area, I always have to go see Nashville downtown. Love the Opry Hotel during the Christmas holidays. It's beaufitul. The next time I am in the area, I'll contact you. You can email me anytime.
Have fun. On Thursdays in the summer time, it's dancing in the streets to all kinds of music. And it's all free. Even some of the concerts held on the riverfront. Have you gone on the General Jackson Dinner Cruise. That's a lot of fun and a great evening. About 3 hours, and costs $50 per person for prime rib dinner. You must try that.
Always Kathy
Hi Kathy,
Thanks for replying. Yes, I've been on the Dinner Cruise on the General Jackson. I've also been on "just the cruise" a couple of times. I love the Opryland Hotel at Christmas but have only gotten to see it once!
You'll have to email me and let me know when you are going to be in town!
