Blood Pressure

just curious if any of you have noticed a drop in your blood pressure since surgery. Pre surgery my pressure was always 120 / 80 which was always good despite my morbid obesity. but since surgery it has gone down steadily. my February pressure was 90/60, and my pressure this morning when getting my B12 shot was 90/50. I dont feel bad at all, though every now and then I do get a minor dizzy spell usually when standing up fast. the nurse today did not seem overly concerned but the difference is enough to make me have concerns. Just curious if anyone else has noticed a BP drop of any significance and what if anything your doctor has said about it.

Hi Joe, My blood pressure before my surgery in February 2004 was 124/86. I had it taken February 1, 2005 and it was 102/60. The cardiologist was actually wanting me to start taking high blood pressure meds right before my surgery, but allowed me to just take a mild diuretic (after alot of coaxing from me). My blood pressure seemed to drop dramatically with the weight loss. BTW: I live in Bartlett but have an Arlington zip code. Dr. McGrath-Weaver was also my surgeon. I tend to hang around the February 2004 message board and thought I'd look at the Tennessee board today since that other board is quiet. Glad I did.
