Hi Charlotte, I'm not on the other side YET, but I know exactly how you feel. I go friday the 11th to find out my surgery date. I have a lot of mixed emotions myself. I just wanted you to know that I will be praying for you. God will be with you. Get well soon. Brenda

Hi Charlotte, remember this phrase, don't worry about what you can't control, Let God do that for you, worry about what you can control. I know you will do just fine. God will be assissting the surgeons and steadying their hands. You just concentrate on being a good patient, listen to your Dr. and Let God handle everything else. May you be watched over with HIS gentle hands and recover with no problems. He's with you, you know it, and may you feel the gentle touch of our Lord just as you are falling asleep. It is such a warm touch of peace, and no fears. Love kathy

Charlotte, I wish you the best on Monday. I met your doctor at Vanderbilt's WLS seminar and he seems like a very professional surgeon.....I'm sure you will be just fine. I am hoping to have my surgery by the same doctor, so I'm anxious to hear your success story! I'll be thinking about you on Monday! Elizabeth

Charlotte... This is a normal! Only thing you can do is hope for the best and do what your doctor says -- That way the surgery will go smoothly for you and your doctor! Good luck, and I wish you a speedy recovery! -Katie

Hiya Charlotte and congratulations on your rebirthday! The roller coaster of emotions you're on is completely normal and we all experience it. I can remember being quite worried the day before, but when I got to the hospital and it was go time a strange calm came over me and somehow I just knew everything was going to be great. It was and just got better and better. I'm 9 months post op, have lost 110 lbs and have only 6 lbs left to goal. Just keep reminding yourself of all the reasons you made this decision, and trust in the Lord to carry you through. I'll remember you in my prayers. God bless! Melanie
