Need help PLEASE!!!!

Yesterday I emailed the head nurse at one of the bariatric surgeons here in Chattanooga to set up an appointment to discuss the surgery. I also mentioned that I was on Tncare. Today I got a message back that no bariatric surgeon in Chattanooga accepts tncare. Can someone tell me who does and where? Or what would be my best bet maybe? Thanks!

I saw Dr. Digby in Franklin, he was going to accept my tncare, but I don't know if he only accepts it. I have medicare also. In Johnson City there is Dr. Watson and Dr. Hodge, they take it but as I said on the previous I don't know if they will take only tncare. Dr. Colquitt in Knoxville takes it. Several Dr.'s are backing away from Tncare because of it being dropped in this state. Dr. Hruska in Clarksville takes TennCare... I'm sure someone in Nashville takes it, also but you may have to call around. Good luck, Katie

Hey Twyla, I have TennCare and Dr. Hodge in Johnson City is doing my surgery, also Dr. Birkitt in Bristol accepts TennCare. Good luck and God Bless!!!!! Bill

Hi Twyla. My suggestion would be to call the 800 # on the back of your insurance card and get a complete list of participating providers from them. They might give you names you wont come across otherwise. Good luck and God bless! Melanie
