Midsouth Bariatrics ??

I live in Jonesboro, AR. Today I went to the seminar for Midsouth Bariatrics....Dr. Woodman. Has anyone here seen him? thanks, Lisa

Yes, he is my surgeon. I'm still waiting for insurance approval. They have their own site that you can get to thru the Bariatric Surgeon dept here at obesityhelp.com. Their message board is made up on only Dr. Woodman's patients.

Hi Lisa, I have seen Dr. Woodman just a few weeks ago. I am waiting on insurance approval. Dr. Woodman is an excellent surgeon but he is a straight forward kinda of doctor. His bed side manner is very dry. So if you do get to see don't think that he don't care. He really does!! Lisa

Thank you Melissa. I am eager to meet him. I met Cyndi at the seminar, but Dr. Woodman wasnt able to attend that one. I was wanting the Lap Band, but I think I will have to settle for the RNY bc of Medicare not paying for the Lap Band. My appt is on Mar 4. Thats not long from now.

Good luck, Lisa. I am 3 weeks post op and Dr. Woodman is my surgeon. I agree with the earlier reply, his bedside manner is very dry. At my post op follow up appt the ladies in the waiting room were laughing about it. However I must say I did a lot of research and Dr. Woodman came highly recommended. Cindy is very nice and helpful. She will be your main contact during the approval process. I believe you will be happy with Dr. Woodman's experience and expertise.

Hi lisa Dr Woodman is my surgeon as well, i agree with all the above, that he doesn't have the best bedside manners, and that he doesn't sugar coat anything or stroke our ego's....but he is a good surgeon. 2 weeks after surgery i got an infection on one of my incision, and Dr. Woodman was nothing but great, he saw before office hours the next morning and he called me the next nite to check on me. It might seem like he's not concerned but he is more that concerned about our health. kesha

thanks Kesha....i really think ive made the right choice with Dr. Woodman...and I havent even met him yet I go for my first appt a week from today, but i dont think i meet Dr. Woodman that day...but im really anxious Lisa
