waiting time with Aetna

My surgeon's office sent in all my info, documentation, records, etc to Aetna HMO on 2/2/05. I called Aetna today and customer service said they have nothing in their system yet. Does this sound right? Thanks

Hi Deborah, I have Aetna HMO also and that does sound about right. They are not quick to move on anything. I have experience with them taking up to 2 weeks just to get a referral back. I have my first assessment yesterday and I am beginning the 6 month diet that Aetna requires before surgery. Good luck! Let me know how it goes! Melissa
