bc/bs of Ga :-p

Hi All: ) It's been quit awhile since I have visted my once (can't live without website).. It's all coming back to me again ..LOL Glad to hear so many post out there. After 3 years of trying for surgery and thousands of dollars later... (for this test and that test and doctors consultation fees) I am trying again. Only because my insurance has finally changed. I now have bc/bs of Ga PPO . I was wondering has anyone had any luck? I have checked the insurer portion of this website there are several BC/BS but only a handleful for BC/BS of Ga. I am looking at the AGB surgery. TY for any comments back regarding this!

Hi there! I had Lap RNY on June 29th, 2004 and my insurance was BC/BS of Ga! I didn't really have any problems getting approved. My surgeon's office (Dr. Houston, Centennial Medical Center) did a lot of the foot work once I got my records to them. The insurance company came back & requested more information: 3 years of medical records, dietary evaluation, psych evaluation. I also sent a letter from my PCP and my OBGYN, and a personal letter. I was approved in less than 24 hours from their receipt of all the information. If I can answer any other questions, I'd be happy to! Best of luck to you.
