update on me
my surgery was canceled cause i have q waves so now i cant have my surgery to i see a heart doctor and get it appoved im so sad i just want to die now i have waited 2 years to have this and my pcp told me when i had the ekg and the eko that all was fine now i got the news from pre op that its not fine the q waves mess me up with be being a diabetic i could have a heart attack and not know it sorry if i miss spell anything cause im so sad and crying that i just want to die now i guess i will have to wait another 2 years with my luck im sorry to make it so long but thanks 4 leting me get it out thank u all 4 being so nice hugs kristie
right now just take a few good deep breaths and relax. You do not want your surgeons rushing into surgery with your health on the line. They are donig the right thing and double checking everything whch is what you pay them for as well as what you would expect. It may be a downer to have to wait, but better to wait for a later date and get it done right than to have it done now and not wake up at all. I was in similar shoes though not exactly the same, my initial surgeon, who I waited a full year for my first consult do his busy schedule, and then went through aproval with and all prreop testing. was at the last minute forced to retire by his own primary physician, I dont know the exact reason nor do I reallyu care other than hoping he is ok, But i certainly did not want him operating on me if his own PCP thought he shouldn't be practicing. To make a long story short I was transfered to a new surgeon, who in my opinion turned out to be much better than my first one, I was able to have lap rny where my first doc woudl only do open, yes I had to wait longer , yes my surgery was delayed and I was let down initially, but in the end I am happier that it turned out the way it did. SO HANG IN THERE, work to resolve this problem. and trust and thank God that it was discovered now and not after it mught have been to late. Ihave you in myprayers. Joe
HI Kristie, I am sorry this happened so soon to your surgery date. But I agree with Joe, it's better to find out now and not after fact. What's the saying " better safe then sorry". Don't give up, get the heart taken care of first, then your surgery. It's only a delay, and trust that all will be fine. Have your cry time, it is a let down. Then take a couple of deep breathes and find out what can be done about this Q wave...... I'll keep you on my prayer list, Kristie, and know all will work out for the best. Luv ya Kathy
