Before I had surgery on September 9, I had never liked coffee or tea. I now find myself craving warm drinks. I started drinking green tea...the Lipton Mixed Berry flavor to be exact. I started thinking about it today and was wondering if I am doing any damage to my system ( or weight loss efforst) with the caffeine that's in the green tea. The box says it is less than half the caffeine of coffee. Does anyone have any opinions/research on the subject? I usually drink two cups a day but would stop in a heart beat if I thought this was hurting me in any way! I appreciate any responses!

try the peach ginger tea from revolution teas, you can find them online. It has become my favorite drink especially when my pouch is rebelling. hot drinks seem to relax my pouch and often makes worrisome meals go down a bit easier if I am experiencing problems. http://revolutiontea.com/hot-tea.html?SID=6222618470a196cc570deda48c6501e6

I also enjoy warm tea. I am 17 days post op. My dietician told me to limit to 2 cups a day. You may want to check with her. I was concerned before surgery and ask specifically about echinacea tea because I drink a lot during winter. She told me it would be just fine. Yogi Tea as a variety of teas that are caffeine free. I also found this great instant tea at walmart in their brand. It is Sugar Free Iced Tea with Peach Flavor. It is sooooo delicious. Zero calories. I sometimes warm that up in the microwave and drink that hot as well. I have had the Revolution Teas mentioned by someone and they are good as well. I hope this helps.
