Help! I need some advice. I've lost 50 lbs. and had a fill 1st of December. I've had a lot of trouble since then and have been living on cheese and Slimfast bars. Even soup (except tomato, etc.) has difficulty going through---anyway---the trouble is I haven't lost ANY weight since 1st of December. I first thought it was a plateau, but now I'm getting concerned. Nothing with my diet/exercise has changed. Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem. I plan to talk to the nutritionist for her suggestions, but thought I'd check with everyone else first. Thanks, Shannon

I am sorry aboutyour concern from the info I have gotten in research that is normal unfortunely I don't know what the normal time frame is. I have also just recently had a lapband on 12/17 and I go in a few weeks for my first fill. You said that you have had issues since your first fill is that normal? I know I had issues for a couple of days of blended foods where when I wld eat it wld not pass and wld (for lack of a better term ) come bck up. They did another swallow test and made sure my band was not too tight and had no blockages. i was ok my ouch had to get used to the changes, I am not a dr but if this contiunes I wld ask about my dr about that.

Thanks for the reply! to your question, each time I have a fill, I have a difficult 2 weeks with food. I have to stay very liquid or only solids that digest easily. It will loosen some after that.

Hi Shannon. I had the rny so I cant really help with the lap band. You said you've been living on cheese and slimfast bars since your last fill. Could that perhaps be the reason your loss has stalled? Maybe a decrease in protein consumption? I would advise you to call your surgeons office promptly and seek his/her words of wisdom. It always makes me feel better. Best of luck to you. God bless! Melanie
