BCBS TN help

i am feeling your pain too laundrea! ellen sent my packet in on the 13th of dec and i kept calling and they would say, we don't have it. ellen would call and they would tell her it is in review. then the last time she called they said send it again. it's crazy! BCBS TN is making me insane in the membrane! three weeks later and now they say it is in the scanning process. i sure hope i don't go through all of this and then they end up doing what they are doing to you. i would keep on appealing that's for sure!!! i sure pray that things go better for you in the days ahead. keep in touch! another BCBS TN member of frustration, piper

Hey Laundrea, I haven't yet been approved for surgery but I have bcbs of tn select and they already covered rny but didn't start covering lapband until 9-1-04 but they said they won't cover any of the testing that is coded as obesity because of the exclusion in their policy....I would fight it for everything that it's worth because there is a woman that I work with that had her rny done when we still had bcbs preferred so it's not like it hasn't been done...good luck!
