does bcbs require a six month diet history

hello i may be switching to bcbs for tenn care and i was wondering if it required a six month diet history in the last year like john deer does and if it was very hard for you to get approved for the surgery

I have BCBS/Tenn Care and yes they require a diet history and no I did not have any trouble getting approved. I have alot of medical problems which made approving my surgery easier. If you are just obese without the comorbidities I do not know how hard or easy it is to get approval. Frances Cowan Fayetteville, tn

yes they do have a timed diet requirement. mine was 5 years and I hd bcbs. good luck

Hi Derrick, Mine is not Tenn Care but I do have BCBS and they did require documented diet program within the 2 years that you applied for the surgery. Take care and Good luck with everything. NannaS
