I'M APPROVED, so here's my first post

I was waiting until I was approved before I posted, and here I am. Dr. Woodman's office called today to say they were notified of my approval by United Health Care. This is where it begins to seem real to me. So far, everything has been easy. I started the process in October. I visited with the psychologist & the nutritionist. The letter went out to UHC on November 17th, they lost it. Cyndy called the information in on 11/29 & they approved me on 12/09. I don't have a surgery date yet, but my pre-op labs are next Wednesday 12/15. I suspect the surgery will be in January. I've read many great posts on this board, and learned a great many things from it. I will continue to read it, and respond to any answer that I can answer intelligently. I will also post any of my experiences that I feel could help someone else. I'll ask questions if I can't figure something out. Isn't the internet a wonderful tool? Congrats Ron... where are you going to have your surgery at ? Did you go with the lap band ? I had my surgery 12/6 and I'm doing great. type to you later --- and again congrats

Congratulations Ron! Let us know when you get a date! I'm trying to arrange my schedule so i can be at the support group meeting but i'm not sure now, will you be there? kesha

Allright Ron, the Lord is blessing so many with early Christmas gifts, I LOVE it!!! I know my doc requires the surgery to be done within 30 days of the preop lab stuff, so you can start your "countdown to a new you" very very soon!!! Donna

Ron, congradulations on getting approved and hope you get your surgery date soon. I am also a patient of Dr. Woodman's and I am having my surgery done on Dec. 28th, 11 days from today. I have a bunch of mixed emotions and the closer it gets the more mixed I get. I'll be sure and let you know how Dr. Woodman is. Like you I've heard only good things.
