had to share

Hey there everyone. I just had to share this with y'all. About a month ago I attended my first support group meeting. It was wonderful, I felt as if I had finally found people who could relate to what I am going through. Anyways, I spoke with the Bariatric Nurse Coordinator for Gateway and she told me all the things I needed to get done. I left that meeting feeling overwhelmed, thinking I would not be able to get everything in to have surgery in December. I still had to have my psych eval, dietician and the surgery class. Well, someone up in heaven must be pulling some strings because I have everything done and on Friday after my bariatric class, I have an appointment set up for the physical with Dr. Hruska on October 26!!! I cannot believe how fast this all has been. I just had to tell you guys. Susan {!}

Congrats. I'm considering surgery myself. Looking for a surgeon with a lengthy experience history.This is so ironic, I just got off the phone with TennCare and they gave me the name of that same surgeon. But I'm in Nashville off of Briley Parkway and Brick church pike. But I don't know how I would be able to handle the ride back. Just wanted to say, I'm very happy for you.

Congratulations Susan!!! I am so very glad for you that you have a date and everything is going smoothly. Adrienne - Since you live in Nashville you should check out Centennial Medical Center. They have a huge program that really is top notch with 3 great doctors - I had my surgery there and really liked them. Their website is cmcwls.com. Jules
