Well Its done and I still can't believe it. I went in on Wednesday morning signed some papers put on a gown had some blood drawn and then the guy that puts you to sleep come in to talk to me,He asked me if I wanted the morphine pump or the epidural,I ask him a few questions and I decided on the epidural. I said bye to my family they took me to the recovery area and put the epidural in then I waited there to be moved back to surgery. The next thing I know is I am being wheeled into my room and I am wide awake and the only pain I was having is where they stitched my IV into my neck . I had to look at my stomach and see the bandage before I realized that yes I did have surgery. I slept off and on they got me up to walk I did get a little queezy.I got up later walked a little in the hall. The next day the catheder was removed and I walked like 10 laps around the third floor Had no pain this was great. The next day they took away my epidural I had some pain Couldn't walk as much finally got a binder and that helped alot the next day They said I could go home. They removed my jp tube and It hurt so bad it made me cry. So now I am home resting alot not a lot of pain more like discomfort This is not nearly as bad as I thought it would be. I go back to dr in 2 weeks to have staples removed I have 44 of them. Well I have rambled on long enough I hope my posting everthing helps some people with surgerys coming up to feel a little more relaxed by knowing what all will happen. Thanks to everyone for all the prayers and well wishes. Tammy

I am glad to hear that you are home! I was wondering how you were doing. I am glad to hear you are doing ok and the surgery went well. I have surgery in 10days. This makes me feel a little better. Keep up the walking and fluids and protein in. Lisa

Hi Tammy, So glad you are home. Forty-four staples, gives me an idea what I will have when I have my open. But I'm glad you did fine, and have little pain. May blessings over whelm you as you continue to be a loser. Hugs, Kathy
