Hi fellow Tennesseans. just checking in, I do peruse the boards as often as I have the time but work has been a bit busy these days. not to mention that My only child(18 year old daughter) is headed off to NY to attend the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Oct. and we are trying to set everything up long distance(arrgh) and my surgery date is oct 25th and thats closing in faster than I had expected. so these next two months already seem to be flying by. well at least keping myself busy keeps me from obsessing about the surgery. I am still working on a few letters for some of the WLS patients, more and more Ins co, seem to be changing policies mid stream lately to remove WLs Surgery as a covered expense . I find that very sad in light of how much it helps people. have kept to my goal of no high calorie drinks for last 5 weeks, but alas no change in weight I fear. which is surpriising as I was consuming at least 2 liters if not 4 or more of pure coke products a day . now I use only diet sierra mist or water , neither of which I am all that extatic about. I just find myself drinking much much less a day of anything than I used to . not sure how I will do when I have to drink all tha****er every single day. I open a 12 oz can of diet sierra mist at 7 in the morning and it is usually still sitting on my desk at work when I leave at 6 in the evening about half full. I do miss my cokes but I am sure they wont be the only thing I will miss in the end. at least my energy is returning, when I first went off the cokes , my energy levels collapsed as with no caffein and no sugar to keep me awake I was like a zombie by 6 in the evenings. I thnk I am over that hurdle at least. will be increasing my daily walking this month to get ready for my liver shrinkage diet in oct. oh joy, wont that be a fun diet. it actually seems like a lot of food but so monotonous, same thing every single day for 2 weeks(arrgh) anyway, just wanted to post and say hello. any of Dr. Mcgraths patients on who can tell me when the next support group meeting is scheduled. I think it is next wednesday but not sure.

Hi Joe, what is the diet for a fatty liver, to get it done prior to surgery? I have that problem. And Joe, before I forget, thanks for the legal help. You don't know how I appreciated it. I know when I found out I was allergic to caffiene, the withdrawals were worse the the allergy. Best of luck to you, and you'll do fine in Oct. Hugs Kathy

Hey Joe, hadn't read the boards in a while and just now saw your question. Support group is tonight. 7 or 7:15? I can't remember if they changed the time.
