I hate being fat! I really hate it! HATE. HATE. HATE IT! Ugh. I thought the whole reason we had this surgery, was so we could fit in with everyone else? It's NOT happened yet! And I'm 4 months out of surgery, I guess the reality of how big I got is finally hitting me and not very well. Anyways, I went for my cat scan today.... And.... Well.... They couldn't do it. Even after lossing a freakin 100ish pounds! Hell, I don't even know how much I've lost because the only scale is in Clarksville. Which is 3 hours away.... So that freakin sucks! I don't get to weigh until the 29th of July! But back to the Cat Scan - They couldn't do it, even after drinking a bottle and half of the meds - AND almost throwing it all up because they wouldn't listen to the fact I have a SMALL stomach and unable to put up with such things in my stomach!! But now there calling eveywhere to find a place for me. Talk about embarrassing! But as I wait for this - The thing on my stomach is getting BIGGER and it's starting to hurt a little, especially when I bend over or trying to do something. But now I'm starting to get worried and my energy I had - has disappeared! I've become really sleepy and tired.... This hasn't happened since my surgery! Ugh... Talk about frustrating. I'll stop ranting now but I figured I'd let ya know what happened. *Stops Ranting...* However, I do have something to add to this - If anyones a member @ Sam's Club.... You should check and see if they have the Low-Carb Slim-Fast Shakes! There a little less money then buying them at your local Wal-mart. And they had Propel Water for much cheaper too.... Oh and Welchs Juice - They now make a LIGHT juice which is about 50 calories and very little sugar!! Check for it at your local grocery story - It's REALLY goooood! Take care ya'll... -Katie P.S. Did I tell you how much I HATE being fat? UGHHHHHH!

Katie, I do understand your ranting and frustration. Where do you call home? Reason why, Johnson City Medical has ct scans, mri's, x-ray, scales all geared for obese. It's in the hospital obese area. I found out last night that if after you have surgery, and are made to drink a lot of stuff for a test, it can prove fatal. Soooooooooo beeeeeeeeeeee extraaaaaaaaa carefullllllllllllllllll. That's why Medic Alert urges post-ops to register with them. I didn't have to drink anything for my ct scan, they did it with dye to highlight this hernia, but nothing showed up on the scan. And yes it's very hard and can't bend over. But I would check the Johnson City Medical Center. Best of luck sweetie. Love ya, kathy

Hi Kathy... Do you know the weight limit there? Do you have a phone number by chance, that I can call or give to my PCP? The nurse @ my PCP is searching for a place - I'll know more tomorrow but I don't think there having much luck because they said they were gonna call Dr. Hruska's office for help. Thanks again... -Katie

I don't have the phone # of the hospital, but I will get it for you right now. It's the main hospital #, and they can probably either transfer you, or give you the # for that area. It's 423-431-6111. Good luck sweetie. Kathy

Hang in there woman You're doing good. Yes, it can still be a bit disappointing when even after surgery our weight is still a bit of a hinderence. Just remember that we didn't get all of this excess weight overnight and even thought the surgery does help lose quite a bit rapidly its gonna take a while. Just hang in there and keep up the great work. *huggles*

((((((((((((((KATIE)))))))))))))) sounds like you needed a hug. Hon i'm so sorry you're upset and having to deal with this whole situation. I can certainly relate to how you feel about being fat. I absolutely hate using public restrooms. I have bruises on my elbows from constantly hitting the toilet paper dispenser or the stupid feminine product waste box or whatever else they hang in those tiny damn boxes. The important thing to remember, Katie, is the -100 part! You have done damn well thus far gf and its only gonna get better. I know how frustrating it is waiting for the end result to arrive. But it will. And we'll look back on these days of pain and smile knowing we were determined, and we made it. Keep your chin up sweetheart, it WILL get better. Thanks too for the tips on Sams club. I am a member and am gonna swing by there today and get some shakes. I'm all out and they're so expensive everywhere else. I havent tried that Propel water but I keep hearing about it. God bless, Katie! Melanie

Katie, It's going to be ok. Just know that you are now the shrinking person that you are. In a few months all this will be behind you and you will be the "hot chick" on the beach. Just keep your chin up and don't get down on yourself ok? Love ya Anne

Katie, I can feel your pain, hun..........In the last three months, I have had 2 MRI's and a PET Scan, which is a special CAT Scan with radioactive dye as the contrast..................anyway, the second MRI I had the ding-a-ling in my neurosurgeons office scheduled at a regular place which does not have an open scanner for large folks.................I didn't figure out her faux pas until the day of the test...............please keep us updated on how it goes. Kelly
