I am having problems still with taking my meds.... I think i have started dumping them? Everytime i take my meds.. I end up getting sick.. What should I do.. this just started happening like the last couple of days... Any suggestions? Robin

Hey Kelly, I take Cozaar for blood pressure, Pepcid, and Singular for allergies... I can take my chewables but every time i crush these meds it ends up making me Robin

Robin, Are you mixing the meds together in your stomach? Like crushing them all together at once... If so... Try taking each med at a different time or atleast not all together. Take one, drink water.... Take the other, drink water... If this keeps up, with you getting sick! Talk to your doctor! Good Luck, Katie

Are you mixing the crushed tablets with anything; when I used to work in longterm care, we mixed crushed meds with applesauce or ice cream to get them down patients. Also, do you still have your G-tube in? If so, you could administer the meds per this tube; be sure and check with your surgeon to assure this is ok. Godd luck, Kelly

I have tried mixing them with jello...sf jelly ....and other drinks.... i dont think i can have applesauce yet.... I didnt ever have a g tube...thank goodness... only a jp drain.... Thanks for the info.... Robin

Hi Robin, please let us know about the meds. I am pre-op, take 9 in the morning and 10 at bedtime. My estrogen is the only one that can't be crushed as it's a hard shell pill. All others are capsules, tablets, and can be opened or crushed. Let me know how you are getting them down without getting sick. I have that problem right now. Every time I take them they get stuck right where the abdominal hernia has gotten so big. I haven't even had surgery yet, and having problems with my pharmacy of meds. May God be with you, kathy
