CAN ANYONE HELP?

I don't have TennCare but there is a lady in our support group who does have tenncare, our doctor is Dr. Oxley. We are having our surgery at the Williamson Medical Center in Franklin. Good Luck to you!

Hi shannen, I also have medicare/TN Blue care. The only thing regarding our insurance is that we don't need approvals, just to be pre certified prior to hospitalization from medicare. There are two in Johnson City that will accept it because medicare over rides it all. Hodge and Watson, 423-975-0764. They were my Dr.'s but because I had a negative psych eval the refused to do the surgery. So I'm hunting again. Everyone has given my their dr.'s names and phone #'s so hopefully they can help you, it's $200 up front for processing fee. Surgery is done at the Johnson Medical Center right next door to the Dr.'s office. The equipment and purple beds are made for obese patients. Good luck. kathy

I am going to Dr. Michael Hodge in JC... I have John Deere Tn Care and I didn't have to pay a dime. I have spent about 4 mos getting everything done but now have a date. I did have to fight with John Deere to see him because he is an out of network doctor, but they only had 2 in network doctors that do the WLS and they both has year long waiting list. They do require a 6 mos doctor supervised weightloss plan. But it only took 3 days for John Deere to approve the surgery. Best of Luck!
