Am I wrong or what?

Ok, I saw Dr. Kelly Wright at Vanderbilt two weeks ago yesterday. Now i had faxed his office all my medical records a good two months before the visit. I called his office person Lisa the Tuesday after I saw the doctor and she said they would have my stuff out to the insurance comapny within 2 weeks. So, I call yesterday to be told that Lisa will give the lady who does precert of surgeries my message, but that department is way behind and if I was seen by the doctor in May or June, then she doubts they have got to my paperwork yet. I have never been a very patient person when I decide I want to do something. I feel like if the doctor's office can tell me you have to do this or you have to do that by a certain date and I do, that they should be expected to meet their goals, too.Am I just being impatient or would this make your blood boil, too?

Hiya Kelly! I'm sorry you're having delays with your surgeons office. I was very fortunate and mine took great care of me. And just like you, i'm not one to display much patience when I set my mind on something. I would just keep in contact with them. Call a couple of times a week. Let them know you're not going away and you'll continue to call until they do as they promised. Give em heck gf! God bless! Melanie

HI Kelly You are talking to the right person now..LOL...Well 4 weeks to the day my dr office finally sent my stuff to intracorp. I do not even know who they are really. It is part of my insurance. anyway fianlly they received it and now i am waiting again. I know some people get lucky and everything goes fast. (Like my friend Cherry)Of course I was not one of these people. I did call the the office a totlal of 4 times in 4 weeks. I did not pester them (i did call my ins everyday.) I called the dr office and told them my ins did not thave any info and could they tell me who they faxed the info too. Each time they came back to say oh i am sorry but we r behind and then all i heard was Blah blah blah.. Anyway i know this is not much help but really what can you do? You can not phyically go and fax it for her. Though i threatened too.. so dont waste all your eenrgy on being pissed. They say the squeaky wheel gets greased... Sometimes they just put in ear plugs.... Good luck Michelle

What insurance do you have Michelle, because Intracorp is the company who does the precerts for my insurance, too. Thanks to both you and Melanie for making me feel like being impatient isn't abnormal. I'm gonna call back Monday and 2-3 times every day until they tell me my paperwork is gone.

Hi Kelly! I wish I could give you some advice.... However, I didn't care for Dr. Wright & Lisa. I'm sure he's a good doctor but the way they treat there patients is just rude. Goood luck with the rest of your jorney! I hope they send the paperwork sooon! -Katie
