I have been struggling with deciding which surgery the Band or BYpass. I think I have read as much as I can. So I called the insurance specialist at my weight loss center today. I asked, what if the doc recommends one surgery and I want a different one. Could my insurance deny surgery due to not choosing the Recommended one. She asked me which insurance? I told her...put me on hold...Stated..All the WLS's are covered.
OH MY WORD! I can have the sleeve! It's the option I wanted from the get go.
