Who knew Atkins would taste good?!

Hi again, Peeps!

So today I spent most of my day waiting on the air conditioner guy to come and fix my HOT HOUSE!  The rest of the day I got to go out to play.  I went to Corner Pharmacy (been there, talked about it...yadda, yadda) then to Vitamin Shoppe and then to Wal Mart.

So while at Vitamin Shoppe I realized I had forgotten to eat this morning and was in the first stages of those ghastly shakes we get when we do stupid stuff like not eating.  I decided to get a protein shake and keep shopping.  I looked over the selection in the cold case and decided to give Atkins a try (knowing full well that I would hate it!)  Guess what?!?!?!  I loved it!!!  Atkins Mocha Latte Shake is yummy!  I was so shocked that I had to look at it again just to make sure that I hadn't imagined it was Atkins!  And it was cheap!  I love cheap!

Okay...scored some mochas and then back to Murfrees-Vegas for Miss Fred.  While in WalMart I found that they too sell these delightful little Atkins mochas...SCORE!  So as happy as I was, I got even happier when I went to get my low carb flatbread and found Sugar Free Tasty Kakes!!!!  SCORE!  Now mind you, these are not for every day but I have been buying them from Netrition and paying for shipping.  If you put them in the freezer they keep for a long time!

So today I got calcium chews, super yummy Atkins Mocha Lattes, and Sugar Free Tasty Kakes...oh and I also bought a Chokolat bar (Is that how you spell it Melinda?) the guy at the Vitamin Shoppe said they were fab.  I'll report on that later

Yep those Choklat bars are fabulous!  I too like Atkins.  They are the perfect size, not really heavy, and the stats on them are terrific.  I have almost every flavor in the cabinet but I never let myself take them...  so I got up in the cabinet the other evening while planning my vacation foods...  and took one of everything so that I could have plenty of variety.  The one I took and ate (I've had one out of all of them) was the caramel nut bar and it tastes like a snickers.  It is good to have those foods to enjoy.

Their peanutty bar is good too.

I had one of those caramel nut bars - I WAS WONDERFULL!!

I won't buy a box for a while because I might eat the whole thing!

Isn't it funny? I thought I was SO in"the know!". NOT! I had one over I've just a little while ago. I thinned it out with some cold coffee YUM

Shut up, oh my! Coffee sounds sooo good in that shake. I've never seen these at walmart. I must find them.

 I LOVE the Atkins Mocha Latte shakes!  That's the only protein shake I can tolerate.  Smooth, creamy and coffee flavored!  YUMMY!  Plus I like that it only has 5g carb per serving.  I had a bad reaction to so much milk on my pre op liquid diet of Carnation Nonfat instant breakfast, NSA and this is what I turned to after.

You can get the 4 packs at Target for about $5.50, which is the cheapest I've found.  And you can find coupons on them every once in awhile to really bring the price down.  I hear you can get them at Sam's too, but I'm not going anywhere near there until after payday!

Anyway, I keep these shakes at work and at home and they are my go to liquid diet after fills.  Good stuff!!!

Atkins Cafe Caramel....it doesn't get much better....to me, better than the Mocha Latte (and i think its divine!)
