Some of you may know that my husband and I have separated so this has been a difficult time for me. I've neglected my exercise ever since he moved out a little over a week ago. During that time, however, I have worked hard on the house getting things clean and in order. Thanks to my efforts and some help from my daughter, the house is cleaner than it has been in years. The chores are hard for me as I have spent so many years inactive but I have a good sense of accomplishment when I get things done. I decided to start back with some real exercise today. I've done 10 minutes on the treadmill and 10 minutes on the recumbent bike. I will do this again later today and also try to get in one set of physical therapy. Honestly, my energy level is low from depression and I usually have to do a bit, then rest a bit and then do a bit more. I'll post again later about whatever else I manage to get in today.
Karen

Edited to add: I just got in another 10 minutes on the treadmill and 10 minutes on the recumbent bike.

Also edited to add that I did get in 40 minutes of PT.

Karen, I hope you can see the humor in my next comment...  but when reading your post the first thing that popped into my head was the song from South Pacific..   "I'm going to wash that man right out of my hair, I'm going to wash that man right out of my hair, and send him on his way... "

I am so proud of you and your efforts, sounds like you are going to be just fine, and 20 minutes is a great start!!  And a clean house to boot!!

HUGS!!
Amy

OOOH..   I have changed the sheets on the beds, done laundry, and folded clothes..   I'm taking the day off from "active" exercise, tomorrow, I'll walk and Monday I'll be back at the Y..

Thanks, Amy. I appreciate the comment. The problem though is this man is wonderful and is the best thing that ever happened to me. He has been carrying the burden for so long he is mentally and emotionally exhausted and doesn't feel he can go on with us together. I'm just praying he will find himself and come back to us.
