Sorry for glomming up the board with the daily exercise thread!  But I'm with Scott about the NO EXCUSES and am getting off my butt every day, whether the gremlins in my head like it or not!  Muwaahahaha!  

Here's today's plan--what I've done and what I plan to do.  My new M.O. is to update with text in color once I finish.

::  20' walk from car to office  DONE!!

::  20' on either treadmill or elliptical at Ortho Gym  Opted for the elliptical.  LifeFitness elliptical feels VERY different from my Precor!  Survived 25 minutes without toppling off!

::  Lower body weight training  Leg press, calf extension, abductor and adductor and back extension, 2 sets of 15 each

::  Leg and hip stretches  DONE!!

::  Aiming for 10,000 steps on my pedometer  At 4 pm, I'm at 5787 and have climbed the stairs here at least twice.  

Are you leaving the excuses behind and moving your beeee-hind?  What are you doing to burn some extra calories?

I did a 1 hour Kickboxing class at the Y..(that totally kicked my butt, but I LOVED it).

I did an hour of water aerobics today, I almost did kickboxing, but decided to go with the water.  It was still a workout, but next week I'm going to try something new, like sculpt or kickboxing...

 I keep eyeing that teeny pool at the gym.  Maybe someday!  Only thing is you look like an animal at the zoo on display!  

Mixing it up is a great idea, Amy, and will definitely keep things fresh and fun!

.....I did a 1 mile walk at a super-de-dooper fast pace---almost a jog---and then rode my mountain bike on the hill track (it kicked my bootie!) for another 25 minutes....then I ran the stairs....when I got inside my husband looked at me and sincerely said, "Are you okay?".......I was, but I did look scary!

Strep isn't gone but I'm not contagious anymore, so I am going to shoot for the 9:30am Cycle/Spin class at the Y barring any sick little ones up in the middle of the night...

LOVE this thread...keep it up Denise!!!!  High-fives to e'one who is getting their workouts in!!!  Micheala.

 I'm doing my best to keep my feet to the fire--if you're up for a little tootsie roasting, keep on joining in!  I weighed 223.6 last Wednesday.  Today I weighed in at 219.2!  The working out thing is really ramping things up!  Plus the staff at the gym seem to be entertained by my antics.

Today I saw the department chair of Neurology working out.  I didn't recognize him at first because I've never seen him in a t-shirt and shorts!  My admin officer is thinking of joining.  I hope so--I can drag her over there and make sure she focuses on herself instead of everyone else on the planet BUT her.  Feeling good is great and I want it to be catchy!

Speaking of which, I'm glad you're feeling better--I can't believe how much you're doing still feeling sickly.  I'm guessing the strep bugs are shaking in their boots at your imposing strength!  Bugs, be GONE!

Keep it up Micheala!!!!  You know I love ya!!!
