Yikes! Strep AND pink eye? Sounds like y'all are having a super fun time!
I'm impressed you found the energy to walk that far! I would just write off the fever from strep as burning extra calories and call it a day! Don't push yourself tooooo hard till you feel better. Sometimes it is better to give your body time to heal and recover than to pu**** too hard too fast. So just listen to your bod and don't over load it.
You're doing so well, Micheala! I'm so proud of you and impressed with your stamina and dedication! And you're doing it with a family of three young kids! You sure you didn't take up a crack habit or something? JUST JOKING!!!!
HUGS!!!

Kenny & Missy are coordinating an any-surgery, any-hospital free-for-all support group that is held the 4th Thursday of the month at the new 100 Oaks WLS clinic.
It was fun because we could be honest (yes, I confess I had some Reese's sticks over the last weekend, but don't tell my dietician Jessica because she will beat me with a stick!) and earnest and we laughed a lot!
I got to meet some new people, one of which was Myra, who I believe coaches basketball at MTSU. She was hysterically funny, telling stories about randomly meeting a woman at the Charlotte airport who also had WLS and how they immediately bonded.
And I mentioned this in the post Kenny had about the meeting . . . she said that she dries her clothes in the dryer now instead of washing them, hanging them up wet and stretching them so they'd be loose. I don't stretch my stuff much, but I definitely did not dry my clothes because I hate when they shrink some and get tight. She was telling this story and I was laughing and nodding because I knew where she was going with this--because I did it too! We shared a high 5 at that, as we are now officially dryer sisters. We have lost enough weight (my 50 and her amazing 110# loss) to joyously use the dryer!
We talked a lot about food (the topic of the day) and shared plights and laughed at our common experiences. It was great fun, until they turned the lights out on us! It was PITCH BLACK! Then, when we finally left, I think every single member of the housekeeping staff was in the clinic, giving us the hairy eyeball, making sure we didn't steal the conference room table or cavort around in the patient rooms! They were probably warned about us wacky WLS people and our tendency for shenanigans!
You should pop in some time as it was great fun!

I officially suck for the day. I had a day off BY MYSELF... not that I don't love hubby but man sometimes its good to not do anything :) I did the dishes and cleaned the kitchen but didn't do squat as far as exercise goes.
I'll have to make up for it tomorrow!
Oh, and thanks Denise for coming tonite! You are soooo lively! You made support fun!

Puh-lease! You don't suck and I'm pretty sure belly laughter is a good ab workout!
Thanks for going to that effort with the website o' the month/recipe sheet and sharing your pictures. I have to make one of those picture pages for my surgery notebook, too! Love it! I'm a nice mix of Kenny's number crunching seriousness and your shiny, glitterosity, so this will be fun.
I think I'll start digging through my pictures right now!
The group was great fun and I look forward to many more laughter and success filled sessions in the future!
